The December 2024 edition of Bee Culture Magazine reports that the Honey Bee Health Coalition has partnered with Project Apis M., the Pollinator Partnership, Auburn University, the Apiary Inspectors of America, and the USDA to develop two documents to help beekeepers learn about and identify Tropilaelaps.

Tropilaelaps are found primarily in Asia and have not yet been detected in America.  However, it is believed their arrival would be devastating to American beekeepers.
