Please join CABA either in person or via Zoom for our November club meeting as we welcome Kent Williams to Concord for a dynamic and fluid discussion. Kent is an EAS Certified Master Beekeeper who has 30+ years’ experience and maintains 1,600 colonies in Western Kentucky and Mississippi.
Kent is an engaging and approachable speaker with a wealth of practical advice and relatable stories to share, so please take advantage of this great opportunity to hear from him in person!
The broad topics to be covered include:
- Being a beekeeper, not just a bee haver – management best practices
- Apiary considerations – ideal site and good/better/best vs bad/worse/worst in real world scenarios
- Apiary sustainability and self-sufficiency – reducing the need to purchase bees and queens to recover losses or increase numbers
- Improving the health of our bees with quarantine yards – they’re not quite what we picture when thinking of their makeup, location, management and real purpose; how to set up, populate and manage to receive the greatest benefit
- And others, based on audience questions and interests
Registrants who indicate they will participate by Zoom will receive the meeting link by email prior to the event.
CABA membership is not required to attend.
